Through our mobile branch, Eyes On Site provides exams to residents of senior living facilities and disabled individuals in private homes whose conditions make it nearly impossible for them to receive a traditional exam at a regular optometry office.
Unfortunately, Arizona is one of a handful of states in which Medicaid (AHCCCS) does not regularly cover eyeglasses for adults (a few exceptions apply).
We often encounter elderly or disabled patients who have no insurance coverage for glasses and cannot afford to buy them for themselves. It’s heartbreaking to encounter these individuals who have been living with preventable blindness for years, enduring visual impairments when something can easily be done to help them.
We want to help as many of our patients as possible receive the glasses that will keep them safer and help them better enjoy life. Through our Eye to Eye campaign, we’ll donate one pair of glasses for every 2nd pair purchased in our Chandler office to a senior citizen residing in one of our contracted care facilities (or to an individual in Malawi, Africa).
Thank you for supporting our efforts.
